The way to become better at most things is to practice and this is true of drawing. Always keep a notebook on you, a sharp pencil, pencil sharpener and eraser. Be ready to do a quick sketch whenever you find you have a few moments spare.

Start looking around you and observing where you are and what would make a good drawing. It may be the faces of the people you live with, or maybe some trees where you live. Look around you and draw what you are interested in. Practice everyday if you can, even if you are doodling. Doodling will help your fine motor controls and allows your imagination to wander.

It will be helpful if you can attend classes, but sometimes that isn’t possible. Watch videos on Youtube and remember to practice.
